Description

Chassis 147097-23 was delivered new from Kessel Racing to Iain Dockerill of Chad Racing in late 2007 in Scuderia Rosso. He painted the car white and in 2008 and 2009, ran it in British GT, selected rounds of FIA GT, International GT Open, Belcar and Britcar. The drivers included Matt Griffin, Anthony Reid, Nigel Greensall, Mike Cantillon, Jamie Constable and, of course, owner Iain Dockerill.

In 2010, it ran again in British GT in Argentinian Blue and Yellow, and the race reports are still in date on Chad Racing’s website as listed by the links below, with an excellent 2nd place at Knockhill against some newer competition.
After British GT, chassis 147097-23 ran for three seasons in GT Cup, before being sold to a private collector in 2014. The new owner put the car back to original Scuderia Rosso colour, only used it for a couple of track days and subsequently put it away.

The current owner purchased #147097 and had the car fully recommissioned by JMH Ferrari, who successfully ran F430 GT3s in period and continues to have success today with Lamborghini GT3s, at an overall cost in excess of GBP 50K last year.

The work included crack testing, new tanks (now valid until June 2027) and pumps, fittings, fuel rails and pipes, rebuilt calipers by Brembo, rebuilt dampers, new Sabelt GT seat and quick release endurance seat belts, with invoices available on file. This F430 GT3 was successfully raced at the Silverstone Classic last year.

Maintained in superb condition, eligible for all events targeting GT3 cars of the era, plus Masters Endurance Legends, Ferrari Challenge GT Days and Le Club GT Competizione (Corse Clienti), it is ready for the 2023 season.
