Description

Chassis No. ZFFXR42B000111949

Engine No. 49312

Unveiled in May 1994, the F355 can be credited with reestablishing the performance credentials of Ferrari's V8-powered sports cars, with Csaba Csere of Car and Driver writing, "Finally, we have a V8 Ferrari worthy of the Prancing Horse." The 3.5-liter, 40-valve unit produced 380 CV and happily revved to an 8,500 rpm redline, pushing the F355's capabilities past previous generations in every way.

Available in Berlinetta coupe or GTS targa body styles at launch, the latter combines the closed-roof lines of the Berlinetta with a lift-out targa panel that opens the cabin to the elements without sacrificing the model's taut proportions. Paired with the gated six-speed manual, the open GTS represents the most engaging and sought-after way to experience the F355, and today ranks among the most desirable specifications a collector can pursue.

According to its original service and warranty booklet, chassis number 111949 was delivered new through Ferrari Eberlein Automotive in Germany on 14 May 1998, to its first owner, Profi Haus-Bau GmbH. In 2001 the car moved to Sweden, where it would continue to be cared for and regularly serviced. So diligent was its maintenance that a second service book was added once the first ran short of space for further stamps. The accompanying binder of invoices and stamped entries illustrates a lifetime of fastidious care, beginning with a 10,000-kilometer interval service at Eberlein in September 1998. Maintained by Swedish specialists for over two decades, it received regular early care from Von Braun Sports Cars before transitioning to Auto Cura AB for continued servicing, including documented services at 47,397 kilometers in July 2007, 51,786 kilometers in June 2011, and 58,579 kilometers in June 2019

Today the odometer reads 61,065 original kilometers, and the car has just emerged from service with fresh cam belts fitted in August 2026. It is offered with its original Ferrari document pouch, books, and a binder of invoices for work carried out, presenting in well-preserved and beautiful condition throughout. A manual, European-specification GTS in an arresting non-red livery answers precisely the specification the market has come to favor-analog, mechanical, and increasingly difficult to find in this condition.
