Description

Perfected with extensive wind-tunnel testing, the F355 is surely one of the most beautiful Pininfarina designs from the late 20th century. It was also the first Ferrari to feature full underbody aerodynamics, which generate negative lift and increased roadholding at speed.

This well-maintained example is finished in the beautiful color of Giallo Modena over a Nero interior. It was delivered new in 1996 and sold to its first owner in Illinois, who serviced it at Lake Forest Sports Cars in Lake Bluff, Illinois. In 2004, it was sold to another Illinois-based enthusiast, and Lake Forest continued to service it consistently through 2009. The F355 was then sold to a Florida resident who moved to the New York area by 2012. In 2014, the car was treated to a documented major engine-out service and refresh by Ferrari specialist The Bradan Group in West Babylon, New York. Cosmetically, the bumpers and wheels were refinished, the interior was reupholstered in proper Nero leather, and the valve covers were repainted in wrinkle red.

The spider displayed 14,331 miles at the time of cataloguing and was serviced in early 2016. The F355 has aged especially well, its pure lines and perfect proportions even more attractive than when it was new. Its five-valve V-8 delivers an extraordinary sound as it races to its 8,500 RPM redline. This example, with its gated six-speed manual gearbox, well-documented history, and stunning color combination, is an ideal companion for FCA meets, spirited drives, and weekend adventures.
