Chassis No. ZFFPR41A3S0101363

Delivered new to Ferrari collector Peter Kalikow in March 1995, this F355 Berlinetta follows the tradition of impeccable taste for which Mr. Kalikow's Ferrari collection is well known. Specified in Blu Scuro Micalizzato over Brown leather with six-speed manual transmission, this is no ordinary Rossa Corsa example. Upon delivery Mr. Kalikow instructed the original dealer, Wide World of Cars, to modify the front trunk area to have the normal black carpet replaced with tan carpeting matching the interior of the car. Mr. Kalikow kept the car for approximately three years and 7,471 miles before selling it to Gabriel J. Lietizia Jr. of Piermont, New York.

Under Mr. Lietizia's ownership, the car would continue to be serviced by the original selling dealer, Wide World of Cars. The first major service was performed in 2000 at 12,680 miles including all timing belts, cam seals, and fluids at a cost of over $6,000. Mr. Lietizia enjoyed the car until January 2008 at which time it was sold to Greg Strassberg of Brooklyn, New York with approximately 25,502 miles.

Under Strassberg's ownership the car saw a change of service center to the equally well-known and respected Classic Coach Repair of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Shortly after Strassberg's purchase the car received its second major service and valve guide repair at a cost of $17,887.67. Worn valve guides are common on pre-1997 cars due to an oil consumption design flaw which necessitates updated and reinforced units. A further 8,000 miles were accumulated by Strassberg before selling to an Andrew Kelley of Massachusetts at which time the odometer read 33,977 miles. Mr. Kelley continued regular servicing and instructed Ferrari of New England to perform the third major service in July 2012 at a cost of over $8,000.

Over the following eight years, the car was owned by a known and documented succession of owners in New York State, Illinois, Washington State, and Arizona. Extensive service records remain on file for all these owners, clearly suggesting each of them conducted the regular service work that is necessary, and during that period, the car's mileage increased from 36,456 to 43,100. It should also be noted that in that time, documented receipts on file for such service work exceed a total of $40,000 dollars, and include such important work as the 30,000-mile timing belt major service in 2012, a new clutch assembly in 2014, the three-year service in 2017, and an annual service in 2018. In 2019 all interior buttons were sent to Sticky RX to laser etch and refinish all surfaces, while engine and transmission mounts were replaced along with the installation of four new brake discs. A Capristo 'Stage 3' exhaust system and Tubi headers were fitted during this time as well.

By December 2020 the car was sold to its eighth and current owner based in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This was the owner's second F355 as the stunning colors proved irresistible. Shortly after purchase, in January 2021, the car was sent to Miller Motor Cars, the official local Ferrari dealer, for a major service at a cost of $18,652. In preparation for sale the car was again returned to Miller Motor Cars in June 2022 for any service items needed at a cost of approximately $5,000. Following this most recent service, the car has been fully detailed by Anthony Federico and Touch of Glass Detail Studio in Bedford Hills, New York. It is offered with its original books and pouch, toolkit, copy of its window sticker, and a binder containing all service records.

Ferrari F355s are sophisticated pieces of equipment that require the highest quality of service. Many buyer's guides on the model advise against buying cars without complete service history. With regular service intervals, extensive records and invoices from new, seldom would a better documented or prepared car come to market. Delivered new to a prominent Ferrari enthusiast in such beautiful colors and a six-speed manual transmission, this F355 Berlinetta represents a very unique opportunity.
