Description

"The Scaglietti 2+2 Coupé was penned by Frank Stephenson under Ken Okuyama at Pininfarina, and it is said that design, especially the strident side scallops and headlights, were a nod to the coachbuilt 1954 375 MM that film director, Roberto Rossellini, had commissioned for his wife Ingrid Bergan. The newcomer replaced the outgoing 456 but, being physically larger, was a genuine four-seat Grand Tourer. It was Ferrari's second all-aluminium vehicle and comprised of a spaceframe manufactured in conjunction with Alcoa, that was a combination of extrusions and castings to which the body was then welded. The same chassis formed the basis of Ferrari's 599 GTB flagship Grand Tourer. The front, mid-mounted, V12 powerplant was shared with the 575 Superamerica and was not six litres as the name suggests but 5.7, though big enough for a healthy power output of 533bhp and equally impressive performance figures, including a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed north of the magic 200mph. A total of just 3,025 examples were manufactured between 2004 and 2011, all but 199 of which featured the F1A gearbox.
This 2007 Scaglietti 612 V12 is beautifully presented in Nero black with unmarked, soft Crème hide interior. Boasting only 30,319 miles, this car is complemented by a full Ferrari main dealer service history, including the expensive cambelt service completed prior to sale and MoT test certificates to verify the low mileage. Offered with the car is the complete leather toolkit and leather Ferrari book pack, as seen in the photographs. This example sits on the optional, desirable and very expensive split rim alloy wheels that, in our opinion, set this GT aside from the crowd. Further options on this car include premium Bose sound system including TV, interior carbon pack and carbon steering wheel, sports exhaust and matching Pirelli tyres all around with plenty of tread remaining. Clearly a well cared for example, this car was once subject to an insurance claim but has since been fully inspected by Autolign and is now only a condition inspected example.  Offered with the private registration and in stunning order, the sound of the V12 upon start-up raises the hairs on the back of the neck and weakens the knees as this elegant, yet powerful, 612 V12, front engine, Ferrari has acoustics to match its beautiful lines. "
