Known to Furlonger from new, this 599 SA Aperta offered for sale is 1 of just 80 worldwide and a mere 7 UK right hand drive examples. Wearing a carefully thought out specification, the SA Aperta wears special order Blu Scuro 3 Strati paint on its exterior, with Grigio roof panels and wing mirrors, and a blue soft top roof.

The cars beautifully upholstered interior wears Charcoal leather, White piping and Blue seatbelts, further complimented by Piano Black trim. Other options include aluminum brake calipers, leather carpets, heat insulating windscreen, white rev counter, Ipod connection, NavTrak anti-theft system, inner leather seat inserts in white, chrome painted wheels, front and rear parking sensors, carbon fibre racing seats, GTO front bumper.

This example is also believed to be 1 of 2 UK cars optioned with a carbon fibre hard top roof (present with the car).

Complete with its original document wallet, service handbooks, Classiche Certification, both keys and full Ferrari main dealer service history, this car offers an exclusive opportunity to own one of Ferraris rarest road cars ever produced. 1 of just 7 right hand drive examples to leave the factory with an exceptional specification, physical, and ready to be enjoyed by her next custodian.

Built to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina, the Ferrari 599 SA Aperta was announced at the Paris International Motor Show in 2010, was limited to just 80 units worldwide. Ferrari continued the tradition of a special series drop-top V12 grand tourer, much like the 575 Superamerica and 550 Barchetta. Unsurprisingly, every 599 SA Aperta allocation was sold to Ferraris most prestigious collectors by the time the car was announced publicly.

Although the SA Aperta was built using the 599 GTO’s chassis and drivetrain, Ferrari wanted the SA Aperta to feature a softer design. The windshield was given a steeper rake and two aerodynamic fins were crafted behind the roll bars, recalling the flying buttresses on the standard 599 GTB. Alongside the cars bodywork, Ferrari also tweaked the suspension and exhaust system to be slightly less aggressive than that of the GTO, permitting more comfort and usability for long distance touring.

The overall architecture remains very similar to that of a 599 GTB, but the most noticeable difference lies within the one piece manually operated roof system. Equipped with a soft-top which is easily operated and clicked into place, the roof panels are simply folded over and placed within the cars spacious rear boot.
