Replaced in 2013 by the F12 Berlinetta as Ferrari's flagship production car the 599 GTB Fiorano will go down as one of the best Ferrari’s of it's generation. Named due to its 5999cc power displacement it's V12 engine was formatted from the Ferrari Enzo creating 612bhp making it the most powerful road car Ferrari had ever produced. Featuring an all-aluminium chassis again derived from the Enzo and with a host of technology influenced from Formula 1 including it's new traction control F1-trac, the 599 became the benchmark for other cars in it's class to aspire to.

Ferrari later introduced the HGTE Package which improved handling and increased the overall response of the car thanks to stiffer springs, lower ride height and revamped magnetic dampers. Also included in the HGTE package was new split-rim alloys, a sportier exhaust and a revamped interior which included additional carbon fibre elements and the previously optional carbon fibre trimmed recaro race seats which have the "Handling GTE" stitching embroidered onto the headrests. It's important to note that many 599s received an aftermarket HGTE package which was retro-fitted to existing cars. For collectors and the more discerning buyers the factory fitted HGTE package remains far more desirable.

All in all, the 599 GTB represents the pinnacle of it's generation and one of the great V12s of the modern era which is accentuated further with the HGTE package.
