In response to the widespread critical acclaim that greeted the 550 Maranello, it was only natural for Ferrari to gently evolve the recipe when it came to crafting a successor. Introduced in 2002, the 575M Maranello sported a tweaked front grille and headlights, subtly updated boot lid, and a new dashboard layout. Meanwhile, the 5.5-litre V-12 grew by 205 cc to deliver 508 brake horsepower for a top speed of 202 mph.
The 575M Maranello offered here was notably equipped from the factory with the HGTC (Handling Gran Turismo Competizione) package. It is reported that as few as 98 examples were originally configured with this desirable suite of upgrades, which added carbon-ceramic brakes featuring red callipers, 19-inch split-rim wheels, a race-style titanium exhaust system, retuned and lowered suspension, further to a high-ratio steering rack.
Underlining the highly attractive specification, this Ferrari was finished in Grigio Silverstone. The exterior is complemented by the wing-mounted Scuderia shields, while the Nero interior gained Daytona-style seats, Grigio contrast stitching, and the optional leather rear shelf.
With its naturally aspirated 5.75-litre V-12 engine paired to the fashionable electro-hydraulic six-speed “F1” automated-manual transmission, this left-hand drive Prancing Horse was imported into Belgium by official Ferrari dealership FMA Nv of Wijnegem. Documented on the accompanying Warranty Card, the 575M Maranello holds a 15 July 2005 delivery date.
Between visits to Monaco Motors and FMA Nv for servicing, the Ferrari accrued circa 18,000 kilometres on continental drives prior to being exported to the United Kingdom and registered for road use in March 2012. It was retained by the owner at the time for four years before passing to the most recent private keeper in March 2016.
Since landing in the UK, the 575M has been entrusted to leading marque specialists for maintenance. Following trips to Migliore Cars, HR Owen, and Foskers, the car was submitted to Modena Engineering of Chelmsford in June 2023 for an engine oil and filter service further to receiving fresh brake fluid, coolant, gearbox oil, and new belts.
The car heads to auction following a 2026 service by Simon Furlonger. The 575M is accompanied by its owner’s guides and Ferrari Certificate of Conformity, while the odometer displayed 39,321 miles at the time of cataloguing.
