Description
"Launched in 2002 the 575 ‘Modificata’ Maranello was essentially an updated 550. These updates and improvements included a redesigned interior and enhanced mechanics. It is fitted with bigger brake discs, a larger more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and an adaptive suspension set up. Two six-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, a semi-automatic ‘F1’gearbox. A total of 2,056 cars were produced. Of this number only 246 featured the now more desirable manual transmission.
This rare and beautiful 575M with manual transmission presents well in Rosso Red with Nero hide and black carpets. Imported from Japan in 2017, this lefthand drive example appears in fantastic condition and the owner tells us that the service history is up-to-date and complete and that the car has recently benefitted from a £10,000 overhaul. These works have included new brake discs and pads, new suspension mounts and a major service. Included in specification of this already desirable model is the much sought after Fiorano handling pack, the extremely rare full electric seats, red brake calipers and leather roof lining. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and fresh MoT test certificate, this is an opportunity to own a very rare car."
