Description
"The Ferrari 550 Maranello is a two-seat grand tourer manufactured from 1996 and is powered by a front engined V12. It shared its platform and 5,474cc engine with the 456 but was positioned as the company's high-end model. Featuring a luxurious and spacious interior and, unusually for a Ferrari, the boot could accommodate a set of golf clubs. The 550 has a tubular steel frame chassis with light aluminium bodywork. Power steering is variable assist and, to be expected of a car with this performance, disc brakes are fitted all round. Acceleration is an impressive 4.2 seconds 0-60mph and top speed a reported 199mph. In total, 3,083 Ferrari 550's were produced of which only 457 were supplied within the UK.
Originally registered on 24th October 1997 this manual gearbox Ferrari has been owned by the vendor for the last eight years and presents in very good order throughout. Finished in the great colour combination of Grigio Titanio with black interior this 550 Maranello comes with a comprehensive and well documented service history latterly by respected marque specialists Kent High Performance Cars. The last service carried out was on 18th May 2022 at 64,546 miles by Kent High Performance Cars, this also included a cambelt change and rebuilding the air conditioning compressor together with re-gassing the system. The vendors have enjoyed this Ferrari 550 immensely having covered around 12,000 miles throughout their stewardship and have used the car for the purpose in which it was manufactured. They have travelled throughout Europe, the UK and Ireland extensively. Considered to be one of the best driving grand tourers around, a Ferrari 550 Maranello offers a refined drive yet exhilarating when required.
Interested parties should note that the private registration plate shown is to be retained by the vendor and a new, age-related registration issued instead."
