EXTERIOR
Enveloped by a stunning coat of metallic Nero paint, the sweeping lines of the Speciale are unassuming at first, with no Scuderia Shields or stripe to detract from the cars pure form the only real giveaway to this limited run supercar are the model specific ultra-lightweight wheels.

Carbon fibre makes a subtle appearance at the front of the car with the front lower spoiler and front wing fins constructed out of the lightweight tech material.

Having covered just over 5k miles from new condition of the car is impeccable, with no discernible blemishes to detract from the 458’s glistening metallic coachwork thanks to Ferrari front end PPF.

INTERIOR
Combining Ferrari’s classic luxury appeal with a more hardcore edge, the cabin of the 458 Speciale in a stunning blend of lightweight composites and luxurious details. Extended Nero Alcantara adorns the dashboard, headlining, rear firewall and stunning carbon fibre seats, with contrast Rosso details running throughout to help lift the space.

Sitting directly in-front of the driver is a carbon fibre steering wheel, two displays, the familiar ‘manettino’ with traction, gearbox and engine map settings along with the extended carbon stalk that house auto, reverse and maximum attack launch mode make for a space odyssey-like setup.

Favouring a balance of weight-saving and comfort, this example benefits from Sat-Nav and factory sound-system, with Bluetooth, Radio, CD and AUX inputs allowing the occupants to try and drown of the sound of the incredible V8 should they desire.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Nestled beyond the rear glass panel, the Speciale’s 4.5l naturally aspirated V8 is an absolute work of art and unique in both form and function. The numbers are breathtaking – 14:1 compression, 9000rpm limit, 600hp and only 3 seconds to 60mph. Crackling loudly into life, those unaware will jump at the sound – a sharp cacophony of unmistakable V8 that settles immediately into a purposeful idle. The 7 speed dual clutch transmission is stunningly fast defining the realms of what’s possible in gear change speed.

The Speciale is the 4th car from Ferrari to have no manual gated option after the other greats, the Enzo, Stradale and Scuderia, and was the coupe to feature Ferrari’s iconic naturally aspirated V8.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Weighing just 9.4kg the Speciale alloys are almost 2kg lighter per corner than the ‘cobweb’ examples fitted to the standard Italia. Sporting an optional Matte Nero finish these wheels look utterly superb, complementing the 458’s stealthy aesthetic with their minimal but effective form. Showing in unmarked each corner is shod in premium Michelin Pilot Sport CUP 2s, each showing ample tread.

Showing through the fine spokes are the vast Ceramic discs and Rosso Corsa callipers, which provide a subtle but effective contrast to the understated colour-way of this Speciale.

Supplied new by Francorchamps Ferrari, Brussels on the 31/03/14 this stunning EU spec 458 Speciale was serviced by the supplying dealer on 24/08/17 at 3,987 miles before being imported to the UK by the current owner in 2018.

Since arriving in the UK the car has been fully registered, with taxes paid, and serviced twice by main dealers H.R. Owen. Most recently the car was sent to the same dealer for an inspection, where it was fitted with a new battery and any other issues rectified to bring the car up to the highest possible standard.

Present with the car is the complete original book pack, stamped service book, V5 and complete set of keys.
