“One of the rarest Ferraris of its generation; only 7 were ever made!”
The Ferrari stand at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show featured a dual presentation: a very special edition of the 456, and a new level of personalisation dubbed Scaglietti… It was, in fact, to mark the launch of this new programme that the Prancing Horse decided to present its star driver at the time, Michael Schumacher, with a bespoke version of the 456 M GT.
The new model now features a two-tone colour scheme (Grigio Nuvolari and Grigio Scaglietti), a new Brembo braking system, Grigio Scuro upholstery, a new hi-fi system, a new GPS system, and more… All the modifications were carefully carried out with Schumacher’s input! In total, only 30 examples will be produced, including a handful with a manual gearbox (just seven, according to Eberlein dealerships).
Our example was delivered new on 29 September 2004 by Eberlein in Germany to its first owner. He kept the car for a few years before selling it back to the dealership, and then in 2009 to Mr S., also in Germany. The latter kept our 456 until 2015, when it became part of the current owner’s collection (which includes a Daytona and a 250 GT Lusso, amongst others…).
Today, our example has just under 46,500 km on the odometer and is in perfect working order and condition. Its service book, stamped from the outset, accompanies the car, along with an absolutely complete history file. The last service was carried out in 2023, and the belts were replaced in 2019 (5,500 km since then).
With valuations of the 550 Maranello currently skyrocketing, it is high time to turn our attention to the 456… This particular car is none other than the rarest Ferrari of that era, and is now on offer at a more than reasonable estimate! Don’t miss this opportunity – it may never come around again!
