Model year: 2022
Registration number: FE-48-33

The Ferrari 365GTC/4 may look like a modern version of the Ferrari Daytona, it was in fact a completely newly designed model. The 4.4 litre V12 with four overhead cams is the same one used in the Daytona. The 365GTC/4 actually has a longer bonnet which meant the carburettors were situated at the side. This in turn had one purpose only: To allow the V12 to fit into the slimmer nose. The Colombo V12 delivers 340 Hp through its 5-speed gearbox. As is the case with the Daytona, the 365GTC/4 has independent suspension on all four wheels. The rear ride height is hydraulically adjustable. The external appearance of the 365GTC/4 was very advanced for the time. The Ferrari 365GTC/4 has that typical 70’s wedge shape. Its exotic looks are complimented by hidden headlights, rubber bumpers and matt black rear taillight panel. The 365GTC/4’s hidden headlights were a primary design feature and as such were seamlessly integrated as opposed to those of the Ferrari Daytona. From the rear the six separate taillights are quite striking. Another remarkable feature was the availability of 46 different exterior colours and 10 different interior finishes. The exterior finish could even be customized to any colour a client could wish for, unique for its time! At its introduction the 365GTC/4 was lauded by the press for its good brakes, fine gearbox shift and the extensive choice of finish options. The 365GTC/4 is a rarity. Only 500 were made excluding the extra 4 prototypes. Of the 500, 194 went to the States, leaving only 265 cars for Europe and the rest of the world. 41 of the 265 were RHD leaving only 224 LHD 365GTC/4 version over. This specific example was supplied in 1972 to Ferrari dealer Chinetti in New York. The car spent many years on the US east coast. During this time only dealer and specialist were used in serving and maintenance. In 2015 the car was exported to Switzerland. The importation process and necessary maintenance were all carried out by the Modena Motors Ferrari dealer in Geneva. It wont come as any surprise that our Ferrari 365 GTC/4 passed the very strict Swiss MOT with flying colours. This car is in excellent condition. The Rosso Corsa paintwork is good with only minute signs of wear. The fine Tan leather interior has a lovely patina. The bodywork is in perfect shape with correct shut lines. The chrome Borrani spoke wheels are a very striking feature and compliment the exterior perfectly. Mechanically speaking the Ferrari 365 GTC/4 is also in very good shape. Thanks to the low-mileage, dedicated servicing and maintenance the engine has never needed an overhaul. For the time being this rare Ferrari does not need anything other than the occasional full tank of fuel. The Colombo V12 is a master piece that makes every ride unforgettable. This is how a Ferrari GT should be: Bloodcurdlingly fast and gorgeous! Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
