To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION at RM Sothebys' Milan event, 22 May 2025.

  • Thought to be the 7th of just 150 examples of the 365 GTC made between 1968 and 1969
  • Retains its matching-numbers 4.4-litre “Colombo” V-12 engine, which is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox
  • Finished in its factory-correct colour pairing of Blu Ribot over a Beige Connolly leather interior
  • Delivered new to its first owner in Verona with continued Italian ownership since, which is storied by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini
  • European-specification car equipped with air conditioning from new

After being marked complete by Ferrari’s fabled Maranello factory in April 1969, chassis number 11981 was configured as a European model for the domestic Italian market. The car was finished in left-hand drive with a kilometre display, equipped with air conditioning from new, and finished in Blu Ribot over a Beige Connolly interior—a colour pairing it retains to this day. The 365 GTC was first sold through the official Ferrari dealer Dino Ravasio and Sons of Verona, with its first owner noted as Mrs Franca Brunetto of Vicenza.

The car did not stay with her for long, as by September 1971 it had been sold to Mr Antonio Morassutti of Padova. Just nine months later it had been acquired by Mr Cesare Compiano of Treviso, who kept the Ferrari for just under two years before it was sold to Mr Aurelio Rezzonico Widman Foscari, a resident of Venice. Its fifth owner, one Mr Antonio Fassina of Treviso, bought the car in December 1975. He retained the Ferrari for the best part of the next decade. In October 1985, another long-term ownership ensued as it was purchased by Fratelli Fassina SpA of Treviso and not traded again until October 2000, when Arona SpA of Milan bought the car.

In April 2001, Ado Fassina of Treviso—possibly a relation to the earlier owner—purchased the Ferrari and kept it for five years. The car’s ninth Italian keeper, one Mr Umberto Amedeo Compiano of Treviso, took ownership in July 2006. Over 10 years later, in November 2016, the Ferrari was finally acquired at auction by the consigning owner, who entered the 365 GTC into a fine private collection of Italian cars.

The Ferrari retains its matching-numbers V-12 engine and factory-correct colour combination. Now available again for the first time in almost 10 years, the 365 GTC is fittingly offered for sale in Milan, where its storied series of Italian owners could be continued.
