Description
"The Ferrari 360 is a two-seater sports car manufactured from 1999 to 2005. It succeeded the Ferrari F355 and is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive V8 powered coupé. Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355. Along with a lightweight frame, the new Pininfarina body styling deviated from traditions of the previous decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights. The new V8 engine utilises a 3.6 litre capacity and, despite what looks like on paper modest gains, in reality the power to weight ratio was significantly improved over the F355. The first model to be rolled out was the 360 Modena followed later by the 360 Spider and finally as a special edition, the Challenge Stradale. In all there were 8800 Modena’s and 7565 Spiders produced with this example being amongst the last.
First registered in June 2004 to its German owner Mr Sator by Tamsen, Hamburg this fabulously presented F1 360 Modena is possibly one of the best we have seen; indeed it is believed that between the first owner and the current owner the car has never seen a wet road. The Grigio Titanio paintwork is lovely throughout as is the Nero contrasting leather trim, and a look into the boot of the car reveals a full leather tool box complete with every tool. Also present is the original leather bound Owner’s Pack complete with all books and even the original dealership pen. After an exhaustive search, our fastidious owner imported this example in June 2016 after a test drive persuaded him to part with his older 360. Recently the car has been fully serviced by marque specialists Rardley Motors and has also undergone a recent cambelt change despite travelling less than 5,000kms. Within the maintenance booklet a full complement of stamps can be found initially from the supplying dealer Tamsen before a further four stamps culminating with Rardley Motors. Within the history file is the UK V5 document and all accompanying import documents including German logbook which would be helpful should the car return overseas. With an MoT showing no advisories until August 2019 this is a fabulous opportunity to own one of Maranellos’ very best creations; in fabulous order throughout."
