Occasionally you can not believe your eyes. In this case it is our Ferrari 360 Modena. The car is pristine and of course a matching numbers model. On the 23rd March 2003 this “Giallo Modena” example hit the road. It was delivered from new to its first owner by the Radicci Automobili S.R.L situated in the lovely Southern Italian town of Bari. Since then the car has only accumulated 7,263 demonstrable kilometres. It would appear that previous owners kept the car for special occasions and even then did not seem to make enough use of the opportunity. Having said that, she has not lacked in attention over the last 17 years. She is in a brilliant condition, bordering on the new. Many people often come to us wishing they could buy a particular car they are looking at, new. If the Ferrari 360 Modena calls up that emotion, then you will be hard pressed to find a more pristine example. Let us start by describing the wonderful exterior. The Pininfarina design reminds us of yesteryear. The bodywork is in perfection shape, unblemished and correctly aligned. The largely original “Giallo Modena” paintwork is in wonderful condition. The car stands on its two-part welded BBS wheels. The engine bay looks new. The previous owner replaced many of the synthetic parts with original Ferrari parts. This was done because synthetic parts tend to fade in time due to engine heating and cooling. The pristine interior trim of the 360 Modena is made up with “Nero” leather and is simply pristine. Ferrari's of this era tended to suffer from sticky buttons, fortunately our car shows none of these problems. The interior trim does give one the feeling that you are the first owner. Of course the iconic open grid with its metal gear knob immediately comes into focus after opening the door. The gear knob is totally undamaged thanks to the car’s low mileage. The seat upholstery and carpets all look as if they were fitted by the Maranello factory yesterday. If you just happen to be thinking” nice that previous owners did not use the car much, but I have slightly different plans” then do not worry. Mechanically this Ferrari 360 is perfectly in order. In 2018 the car had its major service at 6,064 km when the timing belt was changed. Maintenance was carried out by a German Ferrari specialist, as the accompanying invoice shows us. What a delight to open up this unblown 3.6 litre V8 engine. The “flatplane” V8 engine makes easy work of propelling the less than 1,500 kg car along. When you take her close up to the 8,700 revs before manually shifting with that world famous “click” to the next gear you start the enthralling experience all over again. No flappy-paddle can match that! The sound, the handling, everything about driving this car is pure emotion. The car comes with extensive documentation as you may rightly expect form a top-quality model. The calves-leather car wallet is complete and in lovely condition. All invoices from the first service onwards are present. The previous owner added a rear Challenge Stradale grid, the full-leather trim, climate
control, 18 inch “Modular” BBS rims, a Becker radio alongside many other items you would expect such as central locking and power steering. In short we are happy to present this pristine example of a car no longer built with its brilliant drivetrain. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
