Description
The Ferrari 360 Modena was launched in the spring of 1999 as the successor to the Ferrari F355 and, like its predecessor, is powered by a mid-mounted V8 engine, now with a displacement of 3.6 litres and 400 hp. Power was transmitted either via a traditional 6-speed manual gearbox or via the ‘F1’ sequential gearbox, which shifted through the same 6 gears in 150 milliseconds. This beautiful Ferrari 360 Modena with F1 gearbox was originally delivered in Germany and was handed over to its first owner from Bremen by Tamsen in Stuhr on 4 July 2001. In October 2003, with 3'380 km on the clock, the sports car was imported into Switzerland and registered by an enthusiast in Appenzell. The owner had a Hamann sports exhaust system (with homologation) fitted to improve the sound. Following two changes of ownership in 2008 and 2015, the Maranello-built sports car – which at that time had covered around 60'000 km – was purchased by the current owner. In 2019, he fitted a set of Savini 20-inch alloy wheels (with homologation) and a Challenge rear grille to give the car an even sportier look. The service history book and the available receipts show that the car has been well looked after; the last major service, including a timing belt replacement, took place in 2016 at 48'021 km – so a corresponding service should be scheduled. The 360 Modena has seen very little use in recent years, so the odometer currently reads only around 63'500 km. The Ferrari is in good condition; the bodywork is very attractive, the interior is well-maintained and shows the usual signs of ageing on the buttons and switches. The last MOT was carried out in February 2022.
