The Ferrari 348, destined as the successor to the 328 from 1989, shares a number of design elements with its big brother, the Testarossa. The V8 engine, continuously developed since 1973, was enlarged to 3.4 litre, and equipped with the catalytic converter, now delivered a healthy 286 horsepower. Like in the 288 GTO, it was installed longitudinally. The example we have on offer, one of 4’230 TS Targa version built, was delivered new in Switzerland, sold by Graber Automobile AG in Wichtrach on 29th of June 1992 and registered for the first time on 30th of June. After a change of ownership probably around 2000, the Ferrari was taken over by the vendor and added to his little collection in 2018. In 2021, at 57’875 kilometres, he commissioned a major service including a replacement of the cambelt, belt tensioners and the water pump. Naturally, at the same time, the valve clearance was checked and adjusted and the air conditioning system serviced. With three owners, 62’000 kilometres driven and a complete service booklet, the 348 TS is in very good and lovingly maintained original condition. The very sporty Targa also boasts a FIVA ID and will be handed do a new Ferrari enthusiast with the last Veteran MOT from January 2024.
