Description
In 1993, the Ferrari 348 was the first in the brand's history to inaugurate a sports series open only to a single model: the Challenge 348, one-make competitions on the major European circuits, extended to the rest of the world the following year.
Long before that, the famous coachbuilder Zagato took an interest in this model, and produced 10 units of the Zagato Elaborazione. The exterior of this evolution can be identified by the roof bumps, a sort of signature of the Milan-based firm, 288 GTO-type vents on the rear fenders, a visible aviation-style fuel filler cap, OZ Racing wheels with central nut, and a front bumper that can incorporate a grille with fog lights (visible or not). The aluminum front hood incorporates two NACA-type sockets, while the rear bonnet has been modified to accept a window to make the engine visible. The rear-view mirrors are also replaced in the spirit of competition, while the doors lose their grooves. Finally, a rear spoiler swivels with speed, revealing the Zagato signature. Inside, seat support is optimized, Alcantara complements leather and a three-spoke Momo steering wheel replaces the original. The audio system joins the dome light, and a 3-inch screen provides a rear view.
The model offered here, the 3rd product, is one of only 9 Coupés produced. It will be delivered with its service booklet and the Ferrari network booklet in their own pocket, as well as the tool kit.
