Description
The Ferrari 328 GTS offered here is surely one of the lowest-mileage and most original examples in existence. Built in June 1989, the final year of the model’s production, this car was delivered new through Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo in Portland, Oregon, finished in Nero Metallizzato over a Crema leather interior, a rare and striking combination that retains a contemporary look. As noted on the original window sticker, this Ferrari was ordered with an optional electric right side-view mirror and Blaupunkt AM/FM CD player.
Extraordinary effort has been made to ensure that this 328 GTS remains as close as possible to its original condition the day it left the Ferrari factory. Remarkably, the odometer recorded just 1,923 miles at the time of cataloguing, and the car retains its original books, tool roll, and other important accessories. Extensive dealer invoices under the last two owners attest to both major and minor services. A comprehensive major belt service was completed at 1,791 miles, and numerous detail items were done in preparation for the 2015 Ferrari Club of America National Concours in Monterey, where the car won a Platinum Award and the FCA National Preservation Award for Best Preserved Ferrari 1980–1989.
With its distinctive color scheme, impeccable service history, and limited mileage, this Ferrari Classiche-certified 1989 328 GTS represents a benchmark example of an iconic model. For the collector who demands only the very best, we encourage serious consideration of this most impressive modern classic.
