Description

This GT4 was delivered new the 21/ 04/ 1977 by POZZI (Levallois, Paris) the official French Ferrari importer. It has around 70. 500 km on the counter. Series F 106 Al - chassis number 13360 - engine 0263

This Dino 308 gt4 in its stunning colour “Rosso Chiaro Ferrari 20. R. 19” & original beige interiors with Alcantara inserts, has undergone a complete professional & very high standard restoration from 2017 to 2018 at the Italian Garage ‘Atelier Fiorano’ in Milan. It also recently had a full cambelt service & new clutch.
A thorough photographic documentation of every single process of the restoration is available upon request as well as all the invoices.

The Ferrari Dino GT4 was a groundbreaking model for Ferrari and the first of its kind. It was the first production Ferrari to feature the mid-engined V8 and simultaniously being a 2+2 GT (4-seater) making the Maranello brand pioneers in those days. The success of this V8 midengined layout would become a reference and would continue for decades with various Ferrari models & evolutions. The gt4 shares the same chassis as the original Dino 246 but it is the only production Ferrari with the Bertone badge (rather than Pininfarina) designed by the master Marcello Gandini (Lancia Stratos – Lamborghini Miura – Countach – Alfa Romeo Montreal …)

The car for sale has been officially valued at 125. 000 € the 31/ 02/ 2018 by BME Expertises Monaco.

To further improve running & handling performance, this example has also undergone some light aftermarket improvements that do not alter its original looks:
• Pertronix electronic ignition system
• Superformance UK aftermarket front & rear complete brake kit (calipers, discs & metal braided brake fluid hoses)
• Spax adjustable suspensions
• Superformance 16” gold wheels in the original five-spoke design (reminiscing of the seventies Ferrari F1 & race cars)
• Stainless steel aftermarket exhaust & new manifolds

It is equipped with air conditioning (original).

Only 2826 Dino 308 gt4 cars were produced & not many good examples are left, making it a desirable collector’s choice.

This car turns heads with its original & iconic wedge design of the seventies & its quality condition, but not only, its 3-liter V8 producing 250 horsepower in the rear centre position and the 5-speed manual transmission make it a very handy and fast car, and above all, a real pleasure to drive thanks to a great chassis layout.

Whether you are a vintage sports car enthusiast looking for a fun iconic and original high-performance vehicle to drive or if you are a collector looking to add a special piece to an already existing Ferrari collection, it could be the one for you, this car belongs to a connoisseur.

Vehicle History
I have bought this car from a French gentleman in Blois near Paris on May 2016. Following the sale of my Fiat Dino Spider 2. 0L, I was looking for a restoration project of a Dino 308 GT4 year 1977 preferably (my date of birth). I believe the previous owner had it for around 10 years. The car was originally sold on April 1977 in Paris by the official French dealer Charles POZZI, it has always been French registered. When I purchased it, the car was running fine but was in need of a full restoration, a lot of rust around the wheel arches & bottom side panels (common problem for these seventies Italian cars..), the engine & chassis where relatively healthy & did not give any concern. I have a full book documenting the restoration process with photos from start to finish. I have some copies of various early invoices from 1977 to 1981 .
I have recently got the Pertronix electronic ignition kit installed buy the Ferrari dealer in Monaco & had the engine combustion gasses tested buy an independent specialized mechanic, the readings are good, the engine is healthy & runs well : CO2 12, 5% - CO 3, 29 % - O2 0, 54% - HC 418 ppm.
