-Grigio with Brown leather, Restored to original Tour de France configuration, Currently fitted with 2,953 CC Tipo 128F SOHC 60º V-12 Engine built by Cavallo Motorsports with 4-Speed Manual Gearbox.

This 250 GT is 1 of 4 lightweight Berlinettas (the others 0369 GT, 0385 GT and 0393 GT), two of which have been totally destroyed. Built on a 250 GT Europa chassis, this 250 GT Lightweight has been noted in several well-known Ferrari books as the predecessor-prototype to the 250 Tour de France.

The following information has been obtained by Tom Papadopoulos-Autosport Designs, Inc. with the unparalled help of noted Ferrari historian Marcel Massini and is thus included with the sale of 0383 GT.

Original Ferrari factory build sheets, Original Certificate of Origin dated Dec. 9, 1954 (Automobile Club of Italy) and complete ownership history from new.

• Documented as being entered for the May 30, 1955, XXII Mille Miglia, entered by Behra;

• Sept. 17-21, 1956, Raced at the VI Tour de France by Paolo Lena ·(pictured page 163 of Maurice Louche's book "Emotion Ferrari-Europe 1947-1972", page 105 of Maurice Louche's book "Le Tour de France Automobile 1899-1986", page 19 of Jess G. Purret's book "Ferrari 250 GT Competition" and page 159 of Antoine Prunet's book "Ferrari Legend-The Road Cars.")

• Oct. 1956, Raced at the X Coppa Inter-Europa, Monza, Italy by Paolo Lena;

• Nov. 4, 1956, Raced at the 1st annual Coppa San Marino hillclimb by Paolo Lena;

• March 1957, Imported from Italy to USA by Luigi Chinetti Motors;

• Sept. 14, 1958, Raced at Bridgehampton, NY by Frank Adams;

• Sept. 20, 1958, Raced at Watkins Glen, NY by Frank Adams;

• 1958, Raced at Lime Rock, CT by Frank Adams.

More recently while in the previous ownership of several noted Ferrari collectors, 0383 GT has enjoyed entrance in the Mille Miglia Retrospective on several occasions, the Copperstate Road Rally and no less than "nine" Moneterey Historic race meetings. It has also graced the lawns of several prestigious Concours throughout the United States.

This 250 GT #0383 GT has been restored several years ago with limited use since. Recently serviced throughout, it is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
