This very beautiful Ferrari 250 GT left the Ferrari factory in 1958 clothed with a Farina produced 2 seat coupe body referred to as the Ellena. Over 30 years ago the owner commissioned a rebuild of the car to TDF specification. The chassis of the 250GT tipo 508C was in all respects identical to that of the Tour de France. The 128C engine was in reality a slightly de-tuned unit producing 240HP instead of the 280 HP available from the TDF spec engine. The work was put out to two of Modena‘s resident, world renown, Ferrari specialists. The new body was fabricated from original designs by Bachelli & Villa (Carrozzeria Autosport used by Ferrari today as their outsource for Ferrari Storica) and the mechanical rebuild was entrusted to Dienna e Silingardi (officially recognized by Ferrari).
