This legendary Ferrari 250GT Tour de France left the factory on March 30th 1958. At its helm several renowned drivers successfully participated in numerous races - amongst the 37 Ferrari 250 Berlinetta Passo Lungo (LWB), more commonly known as Tour de France, chassis 0899GT has collected the most competition trophies.
Notable wins were achieved at the 1958 Coppa della Consuma hillclimb, and a week later another first at the Varese-Campo dei Fiori hillclimb, so it can be seen that 0899GT competed extensively in the late 1950s. There was an entry to the Mille Miglia and many national events throughout Italy, with Eduardo Lualdi Galardi (otherwise known as “Lualdi”), Nando Pagliarini & Paul Mounier at the wheel.
In 1961 Mounier had a traffic accident with this car and subsequently 0899GT was sold to Frenchman Jacques Ohana: the complete chassis on its wheels including the transm
