Delivered new on 26 March 1971, the car was registered as BS 768510 by its first owner. Until 2014, it remained in the Brescia area, and thanks to a copy of the Italian 'Cronologico', its six successive owners are known, the last of whom had owned the car since 1981.
From 2011-2012, a high-quality restoration was carried out, overseen by a specialist who was very familiar with these cars. The work was done in Italy and some invoices and more than 200 photographs chart the excellent job done on the bodywork and mechanical components. Our client from Monaco acquired the Dino in 2014 after this restoration.
The file for the car includes a certificate from Ferrari Classiche, which provides several interesting details. First, the car left the factory in the attractive colour of 'Blu Scuro' (dark blue), with beige upholstery. It is still finished in the same colours today, which were kept during its restoration. The same certificate also notes that the engine no. 09408 currently fitted to the car was replaced in period by Ferrari.
It is a Series II model, known as the 'Tipo M', with a steel body and the 2.4-litre version of the centrally-mounted Dino V6. This car has the advantage of being in magnificent condition, with a well-documented history (there is even an old registration plate from Brescia in the file), and is finished in an elegant original colour, which goes wonderfully with Pininfarina's styling. A set of qualities which will not go unnoticed by potential buyers.
