Description

Introduced in March 1969 following the limited production of just 150 Dino 206 GTs, the Dino 246 GT represented a significant step forward in performance and refinement. Built across three series—L, M, and E—a total of 3,761 examples were produced in coupé and Spider form.
The L-series cars, distinguished by their centre-lock “knock-off” wheels and limited to only 357 units, are the rarest and most sought after of the model.
This L-series Dino 246 GT, chassis 0976, benefits from being owned by one of our directors as his personal car since 1998 was completed on 3rd July 1970, finished in the quintessential Ferrari shade of Rosso Chiaro (20‑R‑190) over Nero 161 vinyl. Built to Italian specification and delivered new by Nocentini Automobili S.p.A, Firenze it features kilometre-calibrated instruments, centre-lock magnesium wheels, and headrests mounted to the rear bulkhead, a unique feature with early-production L-series examples.
Consistent with the meticulous care provided by our director, who has owned the car for the last 28 years, it remains largely in the same condition as when he purchased it from its previous Swiss owner.
This 246 Dino is in superb condition—a rarity for the model—having never been restored and not requiring any restoration.
Its remarkable provenance is documented with extensive records dating from 1970 onward, including purchase documents, customs forms, various registration papers, period photographs, and owner’s books.
The car also comes with a tool roll and a letter from the Maranello Archive confirming its specification 0976, making it a beautifully preserved example of the rarest Dino 246 GTs.
