Existing only from 1957 to 1964, Falcon cars began by producing fiberglass bodies, before producing their own cars. The race cars employed tubular steel chassis and choice of Ford engines, Climax, or MGA engines.
This pretty Mk III is rare as hens’ teeth. Built in 1958, the vendor informs us that it was raced on major English circuits until the early 1960s when it was mostly used for hillclimbs. Coming from a noteworthy collection of interesting and rare open barchettas of all kinds, this unusual racer has been comprehensively restored in 2008 and has since successfully mastered the "Mitiche Sport a Bassano” reliability trial earlier this year. Described by the vendor as in excellent condition throughout, this is a very interesting alternative to the more obvious choices to start historic racing or rallying.
Questa graziosa Mk III è un esemplare rarissimo. Cost
