Description

Ebro B-45 of 1962 completely restored.

Restoration and preparation carried out by a company specialised in the restoration of classic vehicles. The vehicle was completely disassembled in order to create a special vehicle dedicated to the street sale of food prepared and cooked inside.

The base is an Ebro B-45, the Fordson Thames manufactured under license in Barcelona by the Motor Ibérica company. There is an extensive photographic report of the restoration, as can be seen in the photographs of this auction.

The box, the cabin and all the mechanical elements were disassembled. All of them were sandblasted except for the box which was discarded. Afterwards, all the pieces that met the required quality standard were selected and the unsuitable ones were replaced.

From here the chassis was prepared, sandblasted, primed and painted. On the other hand the cabin and fenders were completely stripped. Likewise, the mechanics were dismantled in their entirety.

In the case of the engine, it was equipped with many new elements: pistons, segments, liners, bushings, screws, valves, sleeves, radiator, etc. all new. The injection pump was revised and the injectors replaced, the water pump was restored, as well as the gearbox, differential, front axle, rear group, brakes, etc. etc.

With all these elements conveniently restored, we proceeded to mount them on the chassis and build the closed bodywork in the style of those used at the time.

It was about making a body + cabin + chassis and "vintage" mechanics in a single body where there was access from the front and rear without changing the essence of the vehicle. We are in front of a vehicle with a new bodywork and a set of restored mechanics.

In the lower part of the exterior of the bodywork it has cellars, and on the right side with three windows prepared for the delivery of orders. In the back part, a removable roof is housed and disassembled that allows the customer to wait while consuming while waiting for their order (see photos).

The characteristics of the vehicle are: year of manufacture 1962, documented as a residential vehicle that can be transformed into a vehicle for selling food (when its interior is adapted to the buyer's liking), Diesel engine, 4 cylinders in line, displacement 3600 cc, box 4-speed gearbox, cruising speed of 80 km/h, 7.50 x 20 tires, type C driving license and in optimal condition for use. This Classic Car is for sale on Catawiki.
