Description

Ducati’s 750 Sport, one of the most collectible and beautiful motorcycles ever built, was based on the Fabio Taglioni-designed 750 GT, Ducati’s first bevel-drive twin. The Sport featured a lighter crankshaft, high-compression pistons, and larger 32 mm carburetors, resulting in outstanding performance. It also featured more aggressive styling, clip-on race-style handlebars, a solo seat, and a now-iconic yellow and black color scheme. Since its production, the 750 Sport has become one of the most desirable road-going Ducatis, and no serious Italian motorcycle collection would be complete without one. These motorcycles are generally considered to be some of the most attractive ever built – with near-perfect proportions, sensuous lines, and eye-catching colors.

According to the consignor’s family, this fantastic example was restored by noted marque experts Austin Vintage Cycle in Texas and was featured in the May 2016 issue of Cycle World magazine. Commensurate with a restoration by one of the country’s foremost Ducati experts, this 750 Sport presents in exceptional and highly correct condition, with gorgeous paint, brightwork, and a high level of detailing throughout. Ducati 750 Sports restored to this level do not appear for sale often, so this is an excellent opportunity to acquire an important piece of Ducati history and experience the engineering and design of Fabio Taglioni, one of the world’s greatest motorcycle designers.
