The Dodge Viper was initially introduced as a concept car at the North American International Auto Show in 1989 and was so popular that Chrysler went on to develop production plans. The concept car and the production car had quite a few differences, but the V10 engine remained.

The car was a pretty raw and old-fashioned sports car; there was no air conditioning, electric windows or central door locking. Even handles to open the doors from the outside couldn’t be found. This fifth generation Viper is fortunately equipped with many luxury options.

The fifth (and last) generation Viper features an 8.4L V10 engine which produces 649 hp and 813 Nm of torque. The engine was entirely built by hand.

The SRT Viper had no plans to downsize or to use automatic gearboxes. Whilst most cars with such high power come with an automatic gearbox as standard, you still get a manual six-speed gearbox with a Viper. This makes the Viper a real 'drivers' car.

This Viper is in original condition (engine and transmission are original). The car starts immediately, shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears and brakes properly. The interior is still in very neat condition, as can be seen in the pictures.

This SRT Viper comes with the original booklets, folder and manual. It still has the original gearstick.
