The Viper GTS offered here, finished in what has now become the iconic, Viper GTS Blue with Stone White stripes color scheme, is likely the earliest example GTS known to the market. A model introduced to the general public later that season, this earlier example, chassis TV200010, the 10th example built, was likely delivered as early as May, 1996. A minimal and purpose-built sports car as intended on the drawing board, this Viper’s original purchase notice reflects that, a simple MSRP of $69,300, before tax and destination charges. Our first owner collected the Viper at Pointe Dodge, on Mack Avenue in Detroit, MI. Not long into his ownership, a letter was received from Chrysler’s Vice Chairman and Publisher Keith Crain. “I trust you are enjoying your Viper GTS as much as I’m enjoying mine … I think I found the ‘fountain of youth!’”, he would be quoted saying. Over its unbroken 24 year first ownership, just 2,463 miles have rolled under this Viper’s wide tires.
