Description

This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .Dennis Fire Engine (firefighters) from 1926 in good condition.

Vehicle in very original condition, restored in England several years ago. It retains all its original elements, including pumps, hoses, ladder, etc. Multiple brass elements (beacons, shell, etc. It would require polishing.

It has not been driven for more than 15 years, so although the mechanics look good, a complete service will be required. The auctioned unit was originally purchased by the tire manufacturer "Avon India Rubber Co. Ltd" of Melksham, England, and there served for several decades, until in the 1960s, when it was retired from active service and destined for "preservation".

Thanks to all this it shows a very good condition and originality. In the 1990s it was brought to Spain by a collector from Madrid, who used it in some events. For example, in 2000, this Dennis participated in the "X Rallye Protagonistas", which travelled more than 1,000 km throughout Spain, and managed to complete it without major incidents.

It was later acquired by the Del Val collection, and later went on to the La Torre collection. It is a very striking and original vehicle, which thanks to having served inside a factory has been better preserved than normal.

It is registered as a Historical Vehicle in Spain, so you can drive with a car license and pass the vehicle inspection (ITV) every 5 years.
