Deep Sanderson as a marque cam into being when successful Sports Car racer Chris Lawrence decided that the new Formula Junior class of racing was one in which the moderately talented driver in a well prepared car could prosper. To these ends in 1959 Chris produced a pair of "Deep Sanderson" juniors. Unfortunately he had decided to stick rigidly to the original rules as set out by count "Johnnie" Lurani, and was out -classed by the Lolas, Loti, Coopers et al. But Chris was not too dispirited, as not only had the 1959 season proved his engineering ideas to be sound, but it had also garnered him the Freddy Dixon Championship in a Morgan +4. The next 3 seasons were to be dedica
