As you skim along the roadways in the Pantera, you can’t help but feel a bit satisfied. You sense the engine rumbling along from its station near your shoulder blades and know that when this car was produced nearly 45 years ago, even the most neophyte car observer knew this was a glimpse at the future. And the looks…wow! Did that just roll out of the Turin Show? All susceptible to a beautiful fender would be left in their wake with a turned head of admiration. For the early ‘70s, the Pantera was the hottest item in automotive haute couture.

Finished in popular red with black interior, this Pantera is driven by an unspecified Ford V-8 engine with an Offenhauser intake manifold, all set in an orderly rear compartment. The ZF five-speed gearbox, rack-and-pinion steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and factory aluminum wheels are part of the mechanical platform; while the cockpit offers bucket seats, complete instrumentation, center console, air conditioning and power windows.
