Description

The exquisite Ed Turner-designed, 2548ccHemiV8 installed into the Jaguar Mk2bodyshellA 2nd-generation250 with recliningseats, slimmer bumpers, dynamoand heated rear screenKnown history from day one, fully documented within the history fileRecent upgrades including SS exhaust system, braided brake lines and vented brake discsStill retains its original registration number OSM 576GA superbly original 250 Saloon, on the button and ready for the open road once againFinished in British Racing Green with a Tan interior, OSM 576G was first registered in Scotland in 1968 and thus benefitted from the recently introduced power-assisted steering, negative earth system and power steering of the later cars. The Daimler eventually moved south of the border to Nettleham, Lincolnshire in the 1970s where it remained in the hands of Alan Fawcett for almost thirty years, maintained fastidiously as and when required includingthe replacement of the jacking points, a full respray in 2000 and the fitting of a stainless steel exhaust system. In 2011, the decision was made to pass the car on to a new custodian moving only a few miles to the home of Michael Erentrant in Harmston, Lincolnshire, another Daimler fanatic and knowledgeable engineer and mechanic. Whilst in hisownership, further improvements were made including an unleaded head upgrade, the fitting of chrome wire wheels, a newbrake servo, the fitting of LumenitionIgnition, Autoquip braided brake pipes and a new fuel tank, before being sold on once again in 2015 to ourvendor. Within a few weeks of ownership, he realisedthat whilst he was enjoying every other aspect of his new Daimler, the car's brakes werenot filling him with confidence. The solution was a vented brake disc kit with lightweight 4-pot calipers by Fosseway Performance andreplacing the original 3/8thdiscs with 22mm examplestransforming the braking to modern-day standards.A beautifully original example that has clearly been maintained to the highest of standards with some subtle upgrades formodern-day motoring, complete with its spare keys, original handbook, lubrication chart and the service book in its Daimler wallet. The complete tool kit including jack and hammer is in place and a new front and rear carpet set is waiting to be fitted, there are also three boxes of spares to accompany the car. The car has also been issued with a fresh MOTwithout advisories which is due to expire on 04/10/2021.
