With a first delivery date of 24th May 1948 this Citroën Légère is a Swiss example. In 2008 the “gangster limousine” was taken over by a garage owner and between 2009 and 2017 restored for his own use. Besides an overhaul of the gearbox the braking system, the carburettor and the starter motor, the 11 BL received correct “Pilote” rims with new tyres as well as a new interior in grey fabric. In parts alone around 25’000 francs were invested. When the owner closed his garage business in 2018, lack of space made a sale of the Citroën Légère a regrettable necessity. The next owner was then able to fulfil his childhood dream, but health reasons unfortunately limited his enjoyment to a mere 600 km before, in the autumn of 2023, the Légère was taken over by the last owner who, up to his totally unexpected demise, thoroughly enjoyed his new toy. Currently the Citroën is in good to very good condition. The robust 1.9 litre 4-cylinder engine is running well and the coachwork, which had been restored several years ago, is in good condition with age correct patina. The last Veteran MOT was completed in October 2023.
