This fantastic Citroen ID19 was supplied in Lignières-Châtelain, France on the11th of March 1964. The ID was introduced to bridge the big price difference between the old Traction Avant and the new DS. Externally there were only minor changes in comparison to the DS such cloth upholstery instead of leather and an unpainted ‘Blanc’ roof. Mechanically the differences were greater in that, other than the hydraulic suspension and leveller; the steering, braking and transmission systems were mechanical. This explains the presence of a normal brake pedal rather than the mushroom shaped pedal and the manual transmission instead of the Ds’ semi-automatic version. This car has recently been fully restored by a French Citroen specialist. The bodywork was taken back to bare metal and individual panels. The work was nicely documented with invoices and photos. The bodywork is straight with neatly fitted body panels and the underbody is as good as new. The interior trim is in an excellent condition. This ID has 72,417 km on the clock and was driven to Holland after the restoration in 2016. This ID has the original ‘AC 101 Gris Anthracite’ with ‘Lipari Rouge’ interior trim and ‘Blanc Plastique’ roof cover. This is a completely restored and well documented Citroen ID!
