Paris, 1. Oktober 1955: Im Grand Palais platzt eine automobile Bombe - so titeln die Zeitungen. Die DS ist geboren. Citroën präsentiert dem überwältigten Publikum ein völlig neuartiges Auto. Plötzlich sind alle anderen Fahrzeuge auf dem Pariser Autosalon aus der Mode und überholt: die DS ist eine Sensation. Ihre Ästhetik war außergewöhnlich, aber die DS hat überdies mit ihrer Technik auch neue Maßstäbe im Automobilbau gesetzt: Ihre Federung, ihre Straßenlage, ihre Bremsen, ihre Lenkung: alles daran war revolutionär.

Im April 1975 läuft nach 1.455.746 Exemplaren die letzte DS vom Band.

Die DS 21 in der De Luxe-Version Pallas war lange Jahre in Österreich beheimatet und wurde dort vor einigen Jahren teilrestauriert. Das Fahrzeug wurde kürzlich einer großen Wartung durch einen DS-Spezialisten unterzogen und technisch überarbeitet. Eine Kopie der ehemaligen österreichischen Zulassungspapiere ist vorhanden.

Diese sehr schöne zweifarbig lackierte DS 21 Pallas präsentiert sich in einem außergewöhnlich guten Zustand und überzeugt durch ihre außergewöhnliche Fahrkultur und ihr auch heute noch einzigartiges Design.

Suddenly, all the other cars at the Paris Motor Show are out of fashion and outdated: the DS is a sensation. The aesthetic was exceptional, but the DS has also set new standards in automotive engineering with the technology: the suspension, the brakes, the steering: everything about it was revolutionary.

After 1 455 746 exemplars in 1975 the last DS was produced.

This DS 21 in the De Luxe version Pallas was registrated first in Austria for many years and was partially restored several years ago. The vehicle recently got a major maintenance by a DS specialist and is technically revised. A copy of the former Austrian registration papers is available.
