In September 1954 Citroën launched the 2CV AZU with the 425cm3 twin-cylinder boxer engine of the contemporary 2CV AZ. Its 12 hp allow to carry 250 kg of payload. In 1963 the power will be increased to 21. The 2CV is the first van with front wheel drive. It is not intended for customers wishing to carry heavy loads but it will seduce craftsmen and administrations. Practical in use, the 2CV van is particularly economical.
This 2CV is a type AZU of 1957 chassis 506401. With its legendary grey color, it can be used as a promotional vehicle or as a country car."
