By using plastic, Chevrolet was able to make the nose of the Corvette extremely pointed, a look that at that time would simply not be suitable for series production with steel. Another additional advantage of plastic is that it does not rust and the panels are easy to disassemble. The steel chassis is also in top condition and free of rust. The car has always been garaged and it shows, the Florida climate has certainly contributed to this. The red leather interior is in very well-maintained original condition.
