We hardly offer American cars, because that is a special market and most of which is not our choice. We must have a certain feeling about a car or not. But for us there are indeed a few exceptions …. The iconic Ford Mustang from the first series, for example, or a Chevrolet Corvette from the first three series. This also includes the just arrived 1967 Sting Ray. The coupe was imported from the USA by the only Dutch owner and registered in August 1996. Since then, the Corvette has been superbly maintained by himself. A number of invoices attest to the installation of parts for replacement or improvement. And the latter certainly received the full attention of the highly technical owner, who not only had to deal with technology in his profession, but also used this expertise to perfect his hobby car.

For example, the exhaust system has been mounted to the rear, as was the case at the factory, because the side exhausts were too noisy during long journeys, the complete wheel suspension has been disassembled, powder coated and equipped with new bearings and bushings, a new ignition distributor has been installed, new fuel lines, water pump, brake calipers overhauled and upgraded wit stainless steel pistons, electrical system checked and improved, brake force distributor mounted with stahlflex liness, handbrake cable renewed, Koni shock absorbers all around: we can go on and on about what has been done over the years, but the best is that everything is done with keeping in mind the originality. The 7 Litre Corvette is now really in top condition and as is so often the case with technicians … then at some point the job is done and the car hobby is at it’s end.

Then there comes a time of doubt, sell or keep. And the decision was to sell the Corvette. Therefore we recently were asked to find a good new home for the car. And we love to do that in this case because we are convinced about the quality and originality of this iconic Big Block Chevrolet Corvette, and that is a must for us.
