Yes, we have to admit that we get excited about a Corvette C2. That is exactly the reason why we have a few in supply and this ‘Split Window’ one more than deserves its place in our collection. What a colour scheme!
The second generation, the C2 was an enormous step forwards for Chevrolet. Lighter, faster and overall better. The C2 Sting Ray is seen by many as the most beautiful Corvette and this ‘Matching Numbers, Split Window’ is no exception.

The C2 ‘Split Window’ we have in stock is one of the 1st year of production in 1963. That year also happens to be the most sought after version with the 2-part rear window and bonnet grills. A car that at the time was favourably compared with models such as the Mercedes-Benz300SL amongst other exclusive sportscars. The 327 Cubic Inches of V8 produces 300 Hp, even today qualifying as a true sportscar. The juicy V8 sounds fantastic with peak performance. With the popular manual Borg-Warner with Hurst Competition Plus Shifter this Corvette drives like a proper sportscar. The suspension and brakes are also in great order, so that no just the quarter-mile is awesome but winding roads are also so much fun to tackle. Although politically incorrect, it is a real mans vehicle.
The Silver Blue Metallic 912 finished bodywork is in peak shape. The restoration has been expertly carried out, leaving us with very straight alignment and shutlines! That is not as obvious as you would imagine as the polyester panels used do not always fit together neatly.
The interior trim varies to what we often find, it is executed in a splendid contrasting colour, namely red! So the moment you step behind the wheel you are surrounded by a sea of red. The red carpets are very neat, the aluminium in many areas is of a similar ilk. Naturally the abundant fine gauges are in good working order. The red steering wheel with its steel spokes is perfectly intact as is the seat upholstery.
The car’s floor, suspension, engine bay and brakes are not only very healthy but also look splendid. This Corvette comes with the necessary recent invoices. It is reassuring to know they did not stint on maintenance to keep this C2 in prime condition.
