Description

Featuring one-year only, split-window styling, this extremely original unrestored 1963 Corvette Stingray was ordered new during September 1962 by traveling salesman Abe Greenstein of Roslyn, New York. Options included a 340 hp L76 327 engine, four-speed, leather upholstery, Wonderbar AM radio, and whitewall tires. Black leather upholstery was ordered but shortages forced a switch to Saddle.

Driven, enjoyed, and stored over the next 52 years at Mr. Greenstein’s home garage, this Corvette was lovingly maintained to be as original as possible. It retains a significant amount of its original Sebring Silver paint as well as its numbers-matching engine, transmission, and rear-axle. The trim tag has been certified as original and authentic by CCAS Affirmations, the small group of the most knowledgeable and respected Corvette judges who are called upon to determine a car’s authenticity at the highest level of Corvette meets.

Wonderful items added by Mr. Greenstein include a cigar humidor, a crossbar for his suit hangers, an early security system, and a CB radio with rear aerial. Possessing the uncanny knack for finding highly original examples of the best-equipped collector cars, Peter Klutt acquired the Corvette from Mr. Greenstein in 2014. This fabulous car comes complete with a detailed letter from Mr. Greenstein and a plethora of documents. Step inside, take a seat, and marvel at all the wonderful details.
