The Model: One of the fiercest competitors on the quarter-mile strip, or on a deserted stretch of road, were the mighty Chevelles that ruled the road in the mid1960’s. Horsepower was king and if the factory supplied performance wasn’t enough, thousands of muscle car fanatics were on hand to help these cars flex just a little more than originally designed. Today, Chevrolet recognizes the importance of maintaining a performance image and one of its most powerful offerings is the mighty LS7 “427” crate motor. Right out of the box when normally aspirated, it is capable of just a tad above 500 HP at 6000 RPM, providing 450 ft lbs of torque. Nothing is going to want to get in the way of any car with this engine, especially a 1967 Chevelle convertible. Today these Chevelles continue to be highly sought after, especially when presented in convertible form.

The Car: Starting with a solid body, this triple-black beauty has been given a complete rebuild from the ground up. Stripped to bare metal, the entire chassis area was powder coated in black, followed by outstanding body and trim work. Doors open and close with ease while the fit and gaps for the decklid and hood are way more accurate than factory tolerances. Look inside and you will find a richly appointed set of bucket seats plus rear bench, finished in factory style vinyls and stitching patterns. Show quality is all around, but the performance is what really draws a crowd. Fitted with power steering, power disc brakes up front, drums to the rear and a custom exhaust system, there is little that is lacking with this convertible. It has also been dressed up with Super Sport badges and emblems which only needs behind the wheel to complete the picture.
