Offering nimble performance and eye-fetching good looks; the 1957 Chevrolet Two-Door Sedan is highly respected for its role as one of the most beautiful two-doors in the 1957 low-price field. With luxury beyond its class, this car readily displays dashing style with great colors and styling accents. It was said to be “fun to go in, so glamourous to be seen in.”
This particular car has been restored and is nicely presented in the desirable color combination of Canyon Coral with a Polo White top and a two-tone black and silver interior. The car is reported to run with the 283-cid, 220-hp Super Turbo-Fire Power Pack V-8 engine with a four-barrel carb and dual exhaust. A two-speed Powerglide automatic is the transmission of choice. Additional features include a radio, power steering, heater, dual sideview mirrors, factory spinner hubcaps and whitewall tires.
The two-door sedan, while still produced in healthy numbers, was far less than the extremely popular sport coupe. While 166,429 Sport Coupes were listed in the 1957 production records, the Two-Door Sedan body choice went out the factory doors 62, 751 times.
