The car presented here today occupies an interesting place upon the Caterham world stage; it was entered into the 2002 Nürburgring 24hr driven by Chris Harris, Chris Cooper and Clive Richards. It performed so well that it won its class by over 10 laps and was allegedly subsequently banned by the L’Automobile Club de l’Ouest. Originally built and run for Caterham by Team Parker Racing and following its Nürburgring success, it was subsequently kept in the Caterham South Showroom.
