The Cadillac Eldorado model spans six decades of vaunted Cadillac history. The name “Eldorado” translates from Spanish to “the gilded one,” and was first given to a 1952 Cadillac concept car to honor Cadillac’s 50th year, its golden anniversary. By 1975, the Cadillac Eldorado Convertible stood alone in the American luxury soft-top field; the Eldo offered the best of both worlds.
This 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible features a big 500 cubic inch longitudinal V-8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission sending power to the front wheels. The car has an older repaint in its original white and a newer white power top. The interior appears to be the original blue leather and comes with a matching parade boot. This Eldorado has power windows, steering, four-wheel disc brakes, door locks; dual mirrors, and the original AM-FM radio/8-track cassette player. Notably, as a 1975 model, this car is smog-exempt in California.
