Extravagant, magnificent, extroverted. Anyone in the market for a car as outlandish as the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz in 1959 would have had all of these attributes - and garage space - in spades. At just under 19 feet in length this, the most opulent model, from the most opulent brand, in the most opulent era in American automotive manufacturing is powered by a 390 cu-in V8 mated to a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. Rated at 345 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque, the V8 breathes through three, two-barrel carburetors, a powerful setup specially chosen for the Eldorado. These Eldorados were generously equipped from General Motors with power brakes, power steering, power windows, six-way power seats, electric door locks, heater, fog lamps, dual backup lights, and an AM radio with antenna. Its chrome sill moldings, jeweled chrome grille pattern, matching deck lid beauty panel, quad headlamps, massive tail fins, and rear fender skirts are icons of late 1950s automotive style.

Finished in its original color combination – according to its Fisher body tag – of Ebony Black paint with an Ivory convertible top, this Cadillac makes quite the visual statement, heightened by its interior of White Cardiff and Florentine Grain upholstery. Optional equipment on this Biarritz added air conditioning, E-Z Eye tinted safety glass, Autronic Eye, two-speed windshield wipers, a vanity mirror, and cruise control.

It is known that the Cadillac was formerly in the collection of Eugene Williams, an enthusiastic collector of cars from the "big fins" era with a special affinity for Cadillac's 1959 models. Prior cataloging notes indicate that, in late 2021, the Biarritz was reconditioned for road use with the fuel system, carburetors, and exterior paint all receiving attention. In advance of this restorative work it was also noted that this car's rare, front bucket seats were added to the interior, undoubtedly increasing comfort behind the wheel.
