We have a fantastic Buick Super Eight 56. This car has already been restored and mechanically overhauled. This second-generation Buick Super Eight first saw tarmac on the 28th February 1947 and is still in rude health.

The black bodywork has fine and correctly aligned panelwork. The chassis is also very sound and completely rust-free. The brightwork shine is evidence of a lot of elbow grease. The resprayed black finish looks good. The underside of the car was also included in the respray. The neat beige hood closes down nicely.

Inside there is red vinyl upholstery and red carpets. The dashboard has been colour-coded, as is usual with this type of American car. The steering wheel and gearstick are made of bakelite and compliment the look perfectly. All gauges and controls are in correct working order. Please note the presence of the correct type of Buick radio. That the Buick Super Eight was a luxury segment vehicle is exemplified by the inclusion of electrically operated seats, windows and hood and that was in 1947! The car is a comfortable 4-seater.

The mechanicals has already partially been taken care of. The straight-8 cylinder engine produces 110 Ps attached to a manual 3-speed transmission. A new exhaust has recently been fitted and sounds wonderful. The suspension bushes, the shocks and the tyres are in very good shape and contribute to the Buick’s pleasant and comfortable ride. The Buick has responsive drum brakes on all fours that are more than equal to their task.

The car comes with a number of parts books and invoices detailing recent work. This is a delightful ready to go 1947 Buick Super Eight 56 in dashing livery.
