Description

This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .This Buick Series 40 Special hardtop Coupé was built in 1956. Buick is one of the GM brands that sat just below the Cadillac. Recognizable by the VentiPorts on the front wings, a Buick characteristic since 1949. Three for the basic one and four for the top model like the Roadmaster.

This is a body off restored car in excellent condition. The bodywork was beautifully sprayed in the original colours and has the correct fit. The two-tone paintwork is in very good condition with only minor signs of wear. The underside of the Buick is rock hard and has never been welded, it is painted in high gloss black. The chrome is nice with only a few small imperfections.

The front bumper and grille were re-chromed in high quality. The interior was reupholstered in the past and is in exceptional condition. The dashboard has that typical 50s style. A very special effect when the side is fully open and the windows are down. In addition to its beautiful looks, everything works optimally.

The engine bay looks good and was neatly taken care of. The car hasn’t driven many kilometres since the Dutch overhaul of the Nailhead 322CU V8. The car has been in the Netherlands for a very long time, it was restored in great detail 25 years ago. It has been in storage for over 20 years.

We fitted new tyres, brakes and fresh oil. The engine has an automatic Dynaflow transmission with 2 gears. The engine runs extremely smoothly and always has enough power available. The

transmission is easy to operate, it shifts smoothly and doesn’t have any slack. Of course completely rust-free, it’s a real joy to drive around in this Buick.

The car can be viewed and picked up in Gorinchem, the Netherlands.
